If the body is understood to have a mind which gives rise to consciousness, the world is ‘out there’ — separate from what we call ‘I’ — and a longing arises that can never be fulfilled.
If consciousness itself is understood to give rise to a body-mind through which it knows itself, the sense of separation collapses, and longing dissolves in its source.
